The annual Horses & Hogs event in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin was treated to near perfect weather and a great group of Harleys and Mustangs. Every generation of pony car was on hand, including a handful of Mustang IIs, with a good number of first generation and S197 models in attendance. Highlights included Phillip Bartnicki’s P-51 themed car, which picked up Best of Show and People’s Choice awards. The actual Mustang used in the filimg of “The Bucket List”, driven by Morgan Freeman at Auto Club Speedway in California, was shown by owner Michael Clemens. A 2012 Boss 302 was entered, giving some of the showgoing public their first look at Ford’s muscle.

After the awards ceremony, a group iof Mustangs set off for a cruise through the Kettle Moraine area, ending up at the Holiday Inn for a poolside dinner. During the day of the show, a group of P-51 Mustangs and other vintage aircraft performed fly-bys and the plane’s were available for about an hour for photo opportunities. The 2011 show was the third year for Horses & Hogs, which also featured an appearance by Miss Wisconsin.
