A pair of 1967 427/435 HP Vettes, one coupe and one convertible, were sold as a single lot (Lot S100), and garnered $275,000. The top single Corvette sale was the 1969 L88 coupe, 427/430 HP, 4-speed (Lot S103) that claimed the hammer at $270,000. A customized 1963 Corvette coupe, 427/550 HP (Lot S226), brought $255,000. Lot S220, top seller of the day, was a 1963 Shelby Cobra Dragon Snake, sold for $850,000. A packed house of enthusiastic bidders resulted in a 65% sell-though rate.
The sixth and final day of the 2012 Mecum Auction at Kissimmee will be loaded with a wide variety of rolling stock.
